Bad Design:

Bad design lacks beauty and function. It can be represented by the lack of creativity and understanding. Bad design can also come through laziness, someone not doing their job correctly can make a mistake and it can affect the whole project. It is very important for a designer to make sure everything is set and stone, also correct.

An example would be the picture to the right. This is an example of a bad design. The washer and dryer being directly under the tv is not only ugly but does not function well. it can also become a safety hazard especially with the speaker nearby. Water can get into the electronics and cause several problems. it is very important in design to know good placements of the different appliances.

Good Design:

Everyone wants a good, designed home. A good design starts with a plan. A good design does not happen by accident. If one does not have a plan, the design will not be noticed and that is an important part of the process. A good design is going to be organized and function well. it will have a sense of style to it as well. A good design represents the client. It fits in with the client’s needs and wants. it also makes the client happy and satisfied with their home/design.

a good example of good design would be the picture on the right. It shows a very well-designed home with completely separated rooms. The kitchen is in its own little section and so is the living room and loft. It is also very well put together and looks nice.
